Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
    2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
    3. Mix dry ingredients in bowl.
    4. In separate bowl, mix butter, sugar and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
    5. Stir in flour mixture.
    6. Gently add oats and nuts and stir.
    7. Drop a scant tablespoon of dough on sheet.
    8. Bake about 15 minutes or until slightly browned.
    9. Let cool and sprinkle with a dusting of powdered sugar.
