These Valentine’s Day Chocolate Hugs cookies are not only super cute, but my daughter says these cookies are “the bomb” delicious!
I gave my daughter a new mixer for Christmas – not the Kitchenaid mixer she thought she wanted, but a Sunbeam mixer – not because the Sunbeam was way less expensive (okay maybe), but because my first standup mixer was a Sunbeam that I received when my kids were little by my mother-in-law. That mixer got a good workout over the years and treated me good as well as the recipients of it’s baked goods. A few years ago when I invested in a Kitchenaid mixer, I sold that Sunbeam mixer on a garage sale before even testing out my Kitchenaid. I can truthfully say that I miss my Sunbeam and wish I would’ve kept it! It was lighter weight and easier to use than my Kitchenaid. I’m seriously thinking of now putting this mixer on a garage sale and buying a new Sunbeam for myself!
Anyway, Macy wanted to make some cookies for Valentine’s Day. Her inspiration were these Valentine Thumbprint Kiss Cookies Recipe by CraftyMorning.com that she found online. She adapted the recipe by using margarine instead of butter and using Hershey’s Hugs instead of Kisses, and I think they turned out adorable!
You can substitute any kind of sprinkles for the Heart Sprinkles as well as substitute Hershey Kisses for the Hershey Hugs.Cute Valentine’s Day Chocolate Hugs Cookies Recipe
